With the Hudson River as the backdrop, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square performed a patriotic concert at the West Point Military Academy in New York on July 4.

This 360-member chorus of men and women, all volunteers, has performed at World’s Fairs and expositions, at inaugurations of U.S. presidents, in acclaimed concert halls from Australia and Europe to Asia and the Middle East. What was a surprise to everyone—the cadets, the general public, and even the Choir itself—was that the Choir was coming. The choir, orchestra, and United States Military Academy Band at West Point performed "The Stars and Stripes Forever," "Armed Forces Medley," and "America the Beautiful."
