Hello everybody, I'm looking for a replacement barrel for a Marlin 336 in .44 Mag.
It's bulged bad enough that fired cases won't extract and need to be beaten out of the gun with a rod. The current barrel has a good sized bulge/ring in the chamber about a half-inch up from the rim of the case. can be found on the . That way it would match my .22LR. Later in the year, they released another Model 1895 chambered in 444 Marlin. All of my Marlin lever rifles are older models without the new cross bolt safety feature which I really don't like on a lever gun. Anyhow, I'm in the market for a lever gun and I'm trying to make an educated decision. Probably killed a dozen white tails with them, mostly at 50-80 yards, but one at … currently i own three .44 mag rifles, 1 win 94 AE and two ruger 77/44 bolt guns. Well, I had to add the Marlin sorta recently in the same caliber because I made the mistake of handling it at a gun store. Drop in Marlin trigger reduces trigger pull weight, removes flop; broader, flatter trigger face and angle for a more natural and comfortable trigger pull. The two new models have an MSRP of $1,099. I can recall only one jam. Ive never owned a lever gun but Ive been reading a ton of info. Now, Marlin has released two new calibers in the Dark Series. Both are 1894 models, with one being chambered in 357 Mag/38 Spcl and the other chambered in 44 Rem Mag/ 44 Spcl. Its short action, designed for pistol cartridges form the beginning, makes it the best choice among the rifles so chambered today. First one I ever saw. In my opinion it just doesn't belong there. I'm looking at getting a Lever action (Marlin because I like the loading gate) and I want it in either .357 or .44 Mag because I also want to get a revolver in the same caliber (That way I have to buy only one type of ammo for 2 guns). Now, Marlin has released two new calibers in the Dark Series.
No jiggling, shaking, pushing, or … So I know I definitely want 44 mag. You just do not see many of these around anymore.

The photos show the 92 and 1894: The Marlin is an 1894CB Limited Cowboy (it has the "squared lever" and 20" octagonal barrel) and the Winchester 1892 I've posted here before as my only .44 Magnum lever gun.
